Royal London, One New York Street, Manchester

No.1 New York Street; a prestigious project in the heart of vibrant Manchester sees Stonehouse deliver another multi-floor fit out for valued client, Royal London

The Brief

Appointed by well respected client Royal London, our brief was to design, rebrand and refurbish a unique 15 storey office building in the heart of Manchester to ultimately create internal spaces visually striking as its award winning exterior.

The Design Concept

We were tasked to create a vibrant theme that flowed from the external pavement area through to a spacious reception and then on to multiple floors of the building; the specific aim being to leave a lasting impression on visitors and occupants alike. Our client required smart, welcoming communal areas and for this to consist of attractive bespoke pieces, furniture of distinctive design, unique use of materials and careful consideration of space.

What We Delivered

A simply stunning fit out was created using a mixture of truly bespoke materials.

Treated Patina panels were drilled to create a brand logo, back illuminated with LED lighting. Exotic materials such as Corian were used to build a reception counter and refreshment hub. A Top Brewer drinks point manufactured in Corian created a state of the art meeting area. Railway carriage style acoustic sound pods were installed to the visitor area, with full interactive connectivity available at the touch of a button offering excellent levels of privacy for small meetings.

Furniture consisted of a Scandinavian manufactured sofa arrangement as well as informal soft seating within the waiting areas. Pairing this with feature honeycomb LED lighting throughout the ground floor, we created a warm ambience and a relaxed sense of calm. In addition to the branded logo, further Patina and illuminated Corian panels with their truly unique pattern were manufactured for the lobby and upper floors, achieving a stunning visual effect. Each floor benefited from back-lit way finding signage to compliment and provide design consistency. The external entrance area complete with Corian cladded concrete column and illuminated back lit branding really creates an interest to draw one into the building.

This has been one of our most aesthetically pleasing projects in recent times and one that both our client is impressed with and the whole Stonehouse team are very proud of.
