Projects

Royal London, York

Future economic potential in one of the oldest districts in Swinegate, York.  Our works consisted of dilapidation works, leading to complete refurbishment of former council offices to Grade A office space within this historic, prime location.

The Brief

Initially works were to completely refurbish a number of small offices into 16,000 sq ft. of Grade A office space located in the heart of York's tourist district near the Shambles.

The Design Concept

Ascertaining a complete scope of works involved detailed surveying, liaising with the heritage council and planners prior to proposing a scheme that competed well with other prestigious office buildings in and around York.

Keeping the integrity and the many internal original features throughout the building were a must and required careful consideration early in the process.

What We Delivered

From strip out of walls, floors, ceilings and everything in between to complete re-instatement of this buildings' outstanding features, our works captured every aspect of commercial fit out.

Entering from the cobbled street of Swinegate, works included the forming of a new curved opening to the front facade of the building, with an impressive new glazed entrance leading into a light, modern reception area with new DDA compliant lift and restrooms.

Moving through the building we opened up the space from several small and awkwardly shaped offices to create larger suites, more fitting for the business needs of today.

Upon installation of air-conditioning, lighting and data, feature ceilings with decorative mouldings were carefully restored and all areas were decorated to a very high standard.  Crisp, clean lines, tasteful features and modern, professional simplicity brought this building to life creating new outstanding office suites for the benefit of one or multiple tenants.
